She was born in the Stanciu family and was married to Nae Sichim, one of the few employees at that time in the village, being a master drill at Runcu. She had four children, three girls and a boy, and she liked to walk barefoot, to explore the hills, to know every tree on the hill, when they were ripe, how many fruits they had. She was the only one of our great grandmothers who liked to drink a cup when it was the right time without being ashamed and if she didn’t like you, there was noting you could do. She was a well-to-do woman who always knew to have her money kept and well set aside, which she alone won. Every day she left home to go with the cow on the hills and every time, she would come back with a branch she’d cut for the summer kitchen’s hob.
