The Merchants Cross in Filipestii de Targ was built in 1646 by the order of the poster Constantin Cantacuzino. This monument marks the intersection between the commercial road from Brasov to Targsor and Bucharest and the one that came from Targoviste to Buzau and Moldova.
On the field around the cross was the first commodities market in Wallachia.
On the way to the Cross of Travelers you can visit the ruins of the Mavros Cantacuzino Palace, the Magureni Church, the ruins of the Draghici Cantacuzino Palace, the Calinesti Church, the Pana Filipescu Mansion and the Postelnic Cantacuzino's Palace.
